This is Byron, he is now 14 weeks post Right TPLO (Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy) and we continue to work on a symmetrical gait pattern, increase his muscle mass to support the hip and stifle and improve his endurance and proprioception. He is so excited to get into the treadmill and keep his head in a perfect position using our peanut butter licky mat to optimise his gait and engage his core. He manages the incline well which reduces any weight shifting compensations when focusing on the hindlimbs. Due to the risk of the cruciate ligament problems in his left stifle, we have formulated a home exercise plan that includes maximising the stability at the stifle with specific exercises.
